Bridging the Gap
How Bridging the Gap Works
Cincinnati Arts and Technology Studios team members select students who apply to Bridging the Gap that demonstrate the characteristics needed to succeed in the Bridging the Gap program – self-awareness, time management, willingness, motivation and a sincere desire to succeed.
Following a rigorous application process, students who are accepted to Bridging the Gap participate in: life skills training, job-readiness workshops, industry-specific training, job interview prep and hiring screenings.
We also offer students the opportunity to enroll in a two-week training course with L & H Healthcare Services, where they receive State Tested Nurse Aid (STNA) training and on-site clinical training followed by State STNA Certification Testing. Another option offered to our students is a 15-week classroom training in information technology with Per Scholas, students who chose this pathway will register to take the compTIA A++ certification test upon course completion.
Tuition assistance for higher education is available through many of our partner employers and students are encouraged to take advantage of such opportunities to continue their education. Students also have access to our on-sight College Readiness Office where our college and career program manager is available to help with college applications, FAFSA applications, and the course selection and enrollment process.
